This site is the place to be to find out all that is going on with him and his music - CDs, gigs, free download songs, info and general goss. Haven't heard Riz? Have heard him and want to know whats's new? Then why not grab the free download songs on this page! If you like what you hear there will be more available right here in the near future as he is currently busy recording his next release and sample tastes will be uploaded for your claiming as the process evolves. No need for file sharing here, it's all free, legal and copyright-permitted!

about riz...

Riz began his musical journey in the Sydney band “Red Herring” in the mid to late ‘90’s. As guitarist and main songwriter for the band, he had many years gigging around Sydney and surrounding areas behind the band’s CD release “Creature”. As a result of this, Riz’s songs have received airplay on many radio stations around Aus , with the clip for “RSVP” being picked up by the ABC music video program “Rage”.

After a brief hiatus following the break up of the Herrings, Riz embarked on a solo performing career with the release of his debut EP “The Road Ahead” in 2004.
The CD was already receiving constant rotation on several of Sydney’s local radio stations prior to release and was added to numerous playlists Australia wide just shortly after it’s release.

Now he is busy recording his second release as a solo artist, a full length CD which is due out in a few months. A sample of the new songs will shortly be available MP3 download section of this site. For the moment though, if you don't have the 'Road Ahead' then this download section can provide you with a song or two from that CD.

His music can best be described as having earthy instrumentation, memorable melody and thoughtful lyrics. But hey, why not download and hear for yourself? If you like what you hear , CDs are available for purchase in the 'available CDs' section of this site.
